Our fresh milk gets filtered and into our cooling tank immediately after milking. After chilling, it's then bottled and refrigerated. Cleanliness and safety is our top priority, however safe-handling at home makes all the difference.
When you pick up your milk remember to transport it in a chilled cooler and place it immediately in the fridge when you get home. Store it in the coldest part of your fridge. Avoid placing it in the door as the temperature here fluctuates too much. Ideal temperature is between 35-38 degrees.
Milk is most fresh when used within 7-10 days however it usually lasts up to two weeks when kept cold properly.
Milk can be frozen, but you must allow room for expansion. Do not freeze in glass jars. Only freeze fresh milk to retain a fresh taste.
To defrost frozen milk, thaw in cold water or in the fridge, NEVER on the counter. Once thawed, shake well.
